I was born in Pretoria, and raised in Johannesburg. After school I studied at the University of the North-West. I initially studied Graphic Design with Psychology as an additional subject. After I obtained my degree I continued my studies in Graphic design at The Open Window in Pretoria where I obtained a degree in Visual Communication. Although I obtained my initial degrees in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, Psychology turned out to be a life passion mine.
Since high school I wanted to travel to foreign destinations and gain a better understanding of diverse cultures. I lived and worked in London for 2 years during which I decided to follow my passion of Psychology and change my career path.
Upon my return to South Africa, I enrolled for an Honours Degree in Psychology at Unisa and later a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology also at UNISA.
I completed my Internship at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital in Krugersdorp, which was followed by a year at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital in the Western Cape for my Community Service year. After the completion of my Community Service I started my own private practice at The West-rand eye centre in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort where I am still based, and have since then extended my services to Midstream, close to Pretoria.
I still have a passion to see people grow in their understanding of themselves, as well as to challenge them to reach their full potential and enhance the quality of their lives.
