This is regarded as a more in-dept therapeutic approach with an individual. Through this therapeutic approach a supportive context is created.
Group Therapy
Group therapy can enhance a person's self-confidence in a group setting this is an opportunity to work on interpersonal relationships and receive feedback from other group members. In this therapeutic process there is room for self-awareness and personal expression.
Family Therapy
This type of therapy can assist with relationships and concerns within a family context. Communication between parents and children can be attended to as well as family conflict/concerns/grief.
Psychometric Assessment
Evaluations or assessments can be conducted for children and adults at my practice. The assessments that can be conducted is intellectual functioning, school readiness, emotional functioning, personality assessments and neurological assessments.
Trauma Therapy
A narrative approach is used to assist groups/ individuals in overcoming previous emotional trauma or dealing with recent traumatic events, loss or grief. The therapeutic space is seen as a supportive context where an individual/group can deal with these difficulties.
Therapy with children
Therapy with children generally consist of play therapy, narrative therapy, art therapy and sand tray therapy. These therapeutic processes can assist children in dealing with unresolved fears, emotional difficulties and previous traumatic experiences.
Creative Therapy
There are different types of creative therapeutic methods for adults and adolescents. These include narrative therapy, art therapy, therapy with ceramics and psychodrama therapy.
